Ford says it augmented the Fusion's sound-deadening areas — including the windshield and side windows — to render a quieter cabin than the Accord's or Camry's. New materials cover the dashboard, and the center controls feature a new, if crowded, layout. An optional navigation system sports an enormous 8-inch screen.

The base Fusion comes standard with power windows and locks, air conditioning and a four-speaker CD stereo with an auxiliary MP3 jack. The SE upgrades to a power driver's seat and six-speaker stereo, while the SEL adds a power passenger seat, heated front seats, dual-zone auto A/C and leather upholstery. The Fusion Sport has unique leather seats with contrasting accents.
