Under the Hood
Replacing last year's 2.3-liter four-cylinder is a 175-horsepower, 2.5-liter four-cylinder. Thanks to the extra power, Ford says the four-cylinder Fusion is quicker than the four-cylinder Camry or Accord; it drives either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission.
A 240-hp, 3.0-liter V-6 is optional on the SE and SEL, while the Fusion Sport gets a 263-hp, 3.5-liter V-6. Both engines use a six-speed automatic.
