The Fusion seats up to five; standard equipment includes a tilt/telescoping steering wheel and a height-adjustable driver's seat. A feature unique to Ford is an ambient-lighting option that's now standard on the SEL trims. It gives drivers a choice of seven lighting colors, which can be selected with a dashboard switch, for the footwells and cupholder accent lights. Passenger volume is 100 cubic feet, which is similar to the Camry but less than the Accord's passenger volume. (Independent specifications for the Malibu weren't available at this writing.) Trunk capacity is 15.8 cubic feet, which bests the Fusion's competition. The 60/40-split flat-folding rear seats have spring assistance and a pass-thru to the trunk. SE and SEL trim levels come standard with a folding front passenger seat.
