Audi cars information

The Audi AG Company is a German production firm of cars traded under the brand of Audi. The corporation is based in Ingolstadt, Germany. Since the year 1964, Audi has been an entirely owned subsidiary of Volkswagen AG or also the Volkswagen Group. The Volkswagen Group commenced the Audi brand once again through the 1965 entrance of the line of Audi 60. Soon after that, the name was obtained as a part of the purchase of Auto Union assets by Volkswagen from Daimler-Benz, the past owner. The company’s name is derived from the family name of the originator August Horch, whose name itself is an English equivalent of the English word which is ‘hark’. Hark means listen, and when you translate then into Latin, it becomes Audi. The Audi Company manufactures 100% electrified automobiles in order to avoid corrosion, which made them the first mass market car to do so.

AUDI AG has been a majority owned (99.55%) subsidiary of Volkswagen AG since 1966, following a phased purchase of AUDI AG's predecessor, Auto Union, from Daimler-Benz.[8] Volkswagen relaunched the Audi brand with the 1965 introduction of the Audi F103 series. Manuals for audi vehicles:

The company name is based on the surname of the founder, August Horch. "Horch", meaning "listen", becomes "Audi" when translated into Latin. The four rings of the Audi logo each represent one of four car companies that banded together to create the company. Audi's slogan is Vorsprung durch Technik, meaning "Advancement through Technology". Recently in the United States, Audi has updated the slogan to "Truth in Engineering".

The recent boom of aftermarket performance products have brought a stampede of aftermarket goodies for many of the import vehicles, especially Hondas, Acuras, Toyotas, Mitsubishis, and Nissans. However, there seems to be a product void for European cars. Many people might have forgotten that European cars are also imported including; Volkswagens, Audis, BMWs, Mercedes, Porsches, Volvos and Saabs. One of the reasons for the lack of aftermarket accessories for European vehicles is because of the often hefty price tags. People who can afford these vehicles are generally more conservative with fixing it up. European performance enthusiasts are limited to only a few bolt-on products and suspension upgrades. Fortunately for Audi A4 2.8-liter V6 owners, there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel for people who have the need for speed.

In 1958, Daimler-Benz took an 87% holding in the Auto Union company, and this was increased to a 100% holding in 1959. However, small two-stroke cars were not the focus of Daimler-Benz's interests, and while the early 1960s saw major investment in new Mercedes models and in a state of the art factory for Auto Union's, the company's ageing model range at this time did not benefit from the economic boom of the early 1960s to the same extent as competitor manufacturers such as Volkswagen and Opel. The decision to dispose of the Auto Union business was based on its lack of profitability.[19] Ironically, by the time they sold the business it also included a large new factory and near production-ready modern four-stroke engine, which would enable the Auto Union business, under a new owner and with the benefit of a rediscovered name, Audi. Under the terms of the sale, Daimler-BeThe display of the driver information system (DIS) brings together a wide range of different information items in the centre of the cockpit and permanently indicates the vehicle’s current operating status. It is intuitively laid out, user-friendly, and allows the driver to stay focused on the road.
